About Great Commission Languages

General

Great Commission Languages (GCL) officially released our first product in December 2004. Owned and operated by Marie Filion Sherwood and Peter Sherwood, we are a homeschooling family (since 1996) committed to providing quality language products to both the homeschooling and general education community. We personally are evangelical Christians (see our Statement of Faith); our products are unapologetically written from a Christian perspective. Extensive cultural information, as well as scripture verses in the foreign language in question, is provided with all our products in the hopes it will assist those desiring to carry out the Great Commission. Having said this, we would also like to point out that our products are not Bible curriculum per se, and the scripture memorization components are optional.

We also operate an Equine Experiential Learning Therapy Ranch that helps children with emotional difficulties. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of GCL products help support the ranch. More information can be found at http://www.shalomranch.org

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is effective Jan 11th, 2008. It covers the websites http://www.TheEasyFrench.com and http://www.TheEasySpanish.com

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not store credit card numbers provided via our website, and only keep credit card numbers supplied via phone or fax if you specifically ask us to. The area of our website where you are asked to enter a credit card number is secured by RC4 128bit SSL encryption (the same encryption currently in use, as of January 2008, by Bank of America and the Royal Bank of Canada). We use a trusted certificate authority, Comodo, to verify our identity online and provide the SSL certificate. We have carefully verified that your credit card number is protected throughout the transaction, and is never allowed to transit any insecure medium such as email.

The primary reason we collect your email address is two-fold: to contact you in case there is a problem with your order or address, and to send you a tracking link you can use to follow the progress of your shipment. From time to time, we may send you important information about product updates, the release of a new product, or other information we deem to be relevant and of interest. Typically, these emails will only occur a few times a year at most, and you are always free to reply and ask that we not contact you with this type of information. All such requests will be honored. * We do NOT provide your email address to any third parties or send any spam-type emails.

We use website and e-commerce statics utilities to gather information about general trends such as visitor and purchaser demographics, conversion rates, traffic sources and other information useful for improving our services and focusing our marketing efforts. These utilities record your IP address only. This information is not used to try and gain insight into a specific individual's activity on our website, or link that information to an individuals name, address, or email address. We absolutely do not attempt to gain any information on what you do outside of our websites.

Return Policy

Products purchased from us may be returned within 30 days if in new condition, and if they have not been photocopied or scanned, the audio CD's have not been duplicated, or any portion of the product retained in any manner. Upon receiving returned product in satisfactory condition we will issue a refund cheque for the value of the product, less shipping and a 10% restocking fee.

If you wish to return a product, please contact us first for specific instructions. This is especially important if you are outside Canada as there are important customs procedures that must be followed.
